No real reason to post this here, but it gave me a chuckle..

There was once a young married couple. The young husband was in the kitchen watching his wife cook. She took a ham, cut the ends off of it and put it in a pan, and stuck it in the oven. The young man asked his wife "why did you cut the ends off of the ham", his charming bride replied "thats the way my mother taught me how to do it". This left the young man curious.

A few weeks later they were at her mother's house and she was cooking. The young husband came out in the kitchen just in time to see his mother in law cut the ends off of a ham and put it in a pan then stick it in the oven. He asked his mother in law why she cut the ends off of the ham and her reply was "thats the way my mother taught me how to cook the ham". The young man was bewildered.

A few weeks later the young man took his wife to see her grandmother, and they got there just in time to see her preparing to cook, you guessed it, a ham. The young man noticed she cut the ends off of the ham and put it in a pan and stuck it in the oven. He asked the kind old lady why she cut the ends off of the ham. Her reply was because the pan is too small to hold the entire ham.
